Why did Shenington C of E Primary want to develop their playground?
The school had some funds to redevelop the tired-looking existing play area that was no longer engaging the children. The school wanted equipment which would challenge pupils physically as well as developing their social play.

How are Shenington C of E Primary using the space to deliver outdoor learning and educational play?
The new surfacing links the climbing area to the existing shelter which allows the children to access it in all weathers, encouraging outdoor learning. The play area is also being used for Golden Time.

What are the biggest benefits Shenington C of E Primary has seen since the play area development?
The children are much more active now in the playground and behaviour levels have already improved.
