Kimpton Primary School wanted to revamp their EYFS outdoor space to create a flexible environment for the children to enjoy all year round. Nicki Browne, Senior Admin Officer, told us about their experience and the impact the development is having on their school.

Why did you want to develop your playground?
To create a useable all year round outdoor space for our Early Years children.

What were the key elements that made Playforce stand out from other providers?

How are you using the space to deliver outdoor learning & educational play?
Our EYFS class has free access to this area and provides an ideal setting for both learning and play.

What are the biggest benefits you have seen for the children?
Our new intake will start shortly, but there are so many more opportunities now for the children to enjoy and discover. As the surfacing is now all-weather, they will be
able to spend a lot more time outside, all year round.

Can you share any practice insights you have gained?
To constantly review plans and proposals and ensure you have the best solution before giving the green light!
