Why did you want to develop your playground?

To improve the outdoor Early Years area, to provide more appropriate play equipment for the pupils of that age group.

What were the key elements that made Playforce stand out from other providers?

Robust musical equipment that will hopefully stand the test of time. There was a good choice of equipment that was appropriate for the special needs of the pupils in school.

[The children] enjoy the variety of equipment and are more content playing in the area.

How are you using the space to deliver outdoor learning and educational play?

There is limited space in the play area, so it is imperative that we use it carefully. We have endeavored to provide a range of safe equipment, incorporating musical, cause and effect and climbing equipment.

What are the biggest benefits you have seen for the children?

They enjoy the variety of equipment and are more content playing in the area.

Can you share any practice insights you have gained?
