In little over a month it’ll be Mother’s Day and that’s a day we all look forward to. It’s a chance for everyone to take some time to say “thank you” for a whole year of being looked after. If you’d like to do something nice for your mum we’ve found these wonderful resources online, with templates for bookmarks, cards and more.
But what we really like, here at Playforce, is thinking about special days like this in a more imaginative way. With our playground equipment we want to encourage children to learn about their mums, as well as famous mums, in the playground. Here are our top suggestions for ‘taking mother’s day outside’:
1. Take your literacy class outside – when the weather is as mild as it is, why stay indoors? This mother’s day handwriting practice sheet is great, particularly when used with one of our Outdoor Project Table & Benches.
2. Learn a special song to perform for all the mothers – our Musical Trails are great for putting together songs and performances, particularly when it’s time to celebrate Mother’s Day.
3. Let’s get arty – every mum loves a picture so why not take art class outside? With our special offers on Poddely Mark Making Sets it’s never been easier to get your class painting and drawing in the playground. You could even get everyone to make one of these ‘handy’ hand-print flower pictures as a gift for Mum!
4. Celebrate all the active mums – whether it’s Rebecca Adlington or Jessica Ennis Hill, there are loads of really sporty mums to provide inspiration for getting active. And we have some of the most exciting active trails and climbing equipment, available for everyone from Early Years through to KS2.
Of course with a Playforce curriculum-linked play space, however, there are loads more special days ahead.
To find out more book a consultation with one of our specialist consultants, who will talk through the whole process and the ways in which we can build you the perfect outdoor play space.
