One of the things we’ve missed most about 2020 is being able to talk to our customers to find out the things that they love, like and aren’t so keen on. This close attention to detail and relationships is one of the reasons we’re the UK’s most recommended playground providers.
We might not have been able to get together in person easily but spending time apart has made it much easier to talk using Zoom and other digital methods.
So, we put our thinking caps on and we’re delighted to announce that we’re starting 2021 as we mean to go on with a programme
of weekly polls and focus groups - all delivered digitally.
Our first topic, in January, will be looking at combating obesity in the time of COVID-19. Those of you that have worked with us for a number of years will remember our 2015, 2016 and 2017 white papers, surveys and research into the ways schools were working to combat childhood obesity through outdoor learning. You can read more about these and download them here
But with outdoor time and school activities restricted throughout 2020 we want to find out how this has affected children and staff, as well as the steps being taken to change the way things are done and to keep children active outdoors.
We’ll be hosting a Zoom-based focus group on 26th January. An independent moderator will talk to representatives from schools across the country, asking them about their approach to combatting obesity in the time of COVID-19. The session will last about 60 minutes and attendees will be entered into a prize draw to win £200 voucher to spend in the Playforce Shop on the Ready-to-Play range
Importantly, although the comments and attendees will be confidential, we’ll be publishing key findings and action points (as well as progress against them) on our blog and in our regular e-news updates.
Our planned focus groups are:
January - combatting obesity in the time of COVID-19
February - taking the curriculum outdoors
March - planning a playground development project
In addition to our focus groups we’ll be hosting weekly polls over on our Facebook page. These will be quick and simple polls to collect data and opinions on the focus group topics. Make sure you’re following us over on Facebook and keep an eye out for both these and our special offers, exclusive to Facebook.https://www.facebook.com/PlayforceUK/
